About State Data from the Texas Education Agency

State data becomes available throughout the year, and is normally one year behind the current school year. For any data not showing a link, please check for availability at the TEA website.

Accessing DISTRICT Accountability Ratings:

  • Go to the State Accountability website of the Texas Education Agency.
  • Select the most current year.
  • Select the “List of Ratings by District.”
  • In 1) Select “District Name.”
  • In 2) Type Bridgeport. (Do NOT type ISD after the name.)
  • In 3) Select “Continue.”

The list that appears shows the district rating as well as the rating of each school. The district name and the name of each school is a hot link to its data table. The data table shows the actual performance used to determine the rating.

Accessing Definitions and Explanations of Ratings:

  • Go to the State Accountability website of the Texas Education Agency.
  • Select the most current year.
  • Select the Accountability Manual.

The No Child Left Behind Report Card:
This information from TEA reports district ratings on criteria established by the federal No Child Left Behind Act. BISD has chosen to provide links to all data as well as local data.

About Academic Excellence Indicators Data: This data is reported in two ways. District data shows all grade levels, tests, and comparisons by ethnic origin, gender groups, and socio-economic groupings. School data is organized by campus. The same criteria are reported, with focus on each campus group. Scroll through the file for the campus of interest.

Accessing Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) Report:

  • Go to the AEIS Reports of the Texas Education Agency. (Link also available on sidebar.)
  • Select the year for which you are seeking information. (A Glossary is also available here.)
  • Select “District Report".
  • In 1) A) Select the type of report: HTML for viewing on the computer, or PDF to print.
  • In 2) Select “District Name.”
  • In 3) Type Bridgeport. (Do NOT type ISD after the name.)
  • In 4) Select “Continue.”
